Remember seeing a Rubik’s Cube for the first time?

If you’re anything like me; you scrambled it up, gave it a solid 10-15 minutes of pure, hard effort before leaving it to sit in a cupboard somewhere for the rest of eternity.

Not because you didn’t like the colours. Not because you didn’t like playing around with it.

It was just too complicated.

Well Meta ads can be the same. They look just as complicated.

You’re bombarded with so many choices, that you have no idea what to pick.

And you know what’s even worse?

Meta knows this.

In the next few minutes, I’ll explain how Meta is taking advantage of you. And how you can instead, take advantage of them!

Meta: The Marketing Manipulator

You’ve probably seen the “Boost Post” button before on Meta.

It looks pretty convincing doesn't it?

That’s why millions of business owners use it. Meta’s yearly revenue is over £100 billion because of it.

So it’s safe to say that their luring tactics are on point.

They made everything super complicated so you would pick the ONLY simple and promising option.

What business owners don’t know is that “Boost” is an ineffective way to spend money on ads.

They use it without ever realising that they’re throwing money away faster than the speed of light.

Business owners get hooked on using the Boost button, the same way a toddler gets hooked on eating candy.

What the toddler doesn’t realise is that it’s actually harming them.

This Is What You Miss Out On If You “Boost Post”

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like the “Boost” button does absolutely nothing.

It can get you more exposure.

But that’s only if you have a gold mine under your house which prints money faster than the Bank of England.

If that’s you, throw as much money into “Boost” as your heart desires.

The vast majority of business owners need to be a bit more practical about how they spend their money.

The other issue with boosting posts is that you’re missing out on basically everything that makes Meta such a great way to attract clients in the first place:

- You’re limited to post types that exist only for organic posts.

- You can’t target a particular audience based on an action you want them to take.

- You can’t add square photos, or customise the headline/description.

- And you can’t run the ad on both Facebook and Instagram.

So… what SHOULD you do instead?

USE the Meta Ads tools!

It gives you way more options, way more targeting and most importantly… WAY more results.

Do yourself a favour and never use the “Boost Post” button ever again.

How Much Will It Cost You?

When you start using Meta Ads tools to advertise, it’ll take some time before the Facebook algorithm starts to identify the audience you’re trying to reach.

This is because the algorithm is optimising its targeting for your audience.

So it’s hard to say how much it’ll cost you.

But that doesn’t mean spend £1 a day on Meta ads while spending three times that amount on a cup of coffee.

If you want actual results, it’ll take a bit more investment and some trial and error before you start running to the bank.

When we work with clients, we have one simple goal:

Get to the point where every £1 you invest in advertising, you get at least £2 back in return.

We do that by constantly testing and tweaking until we reach that goal.
